  1. It’s nice to know that September is Good Manners Month. Would it be possible to include The Magic Word by Sherrill S Cannon in your blog? As a former teacher and grandmother of nine, I try to stress good manners and consideration for others, disguised as a fun story. This book is a rhyming story of a little girl who was rude, selfish and demanding – and had very few friends. Her mother suggested that she needed to improve her manners; so when she went to school the next day, she thought of her mother’s advice, “What is the magic word?” and she started saying “Please” and also “Thank You”. She tried to become more thoughtful of others, and discovered that she was a much happier person. The repetitive use of the phrase “What is the magic word?” has children answering “Please”! (and Thank You! for reading this comment) The amazon link to this book is http://www.amazon.com/Magic-Word-Sherrill-S-Cannon/dp/1609769090/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1301074858&sr=1-1 I would be happy to send you a copy for your review! (The Magic Word is the Gold Winner of the 2011 Readers Favorites Awards, as well as the winner of the 2011 Pinnacle Achievement Award, as well as a Global eBook Finalist Award.)
